Пномпень активно растет, вычищает грязь и детскую проституцию с центральных улиц. Здесь удобно остановиться на день-два, чтобы увидеть своими глазами город, который некогда был процветающей столицей Индокитая, а потом, опустев в кровавые семидесятые, простоял 4 года разрушаясь.

The hostel is freaking cool. With walls full of graffiti and posters, this accommodation is worth your money. You can avail dorms or luxury suites here. Their common room also looks amazing with some wonderful hanging spots. Everything in here is just awe-striking. The luxury suite looks like a room in a five-star hotel. You cannot decide which is better: the suite or the common room.

Для осмотра достопримечательностей камбоджийской столицы Пномпень совсем не обязательно преодолевать многокилометровые расстояния каждый день. Можно просто выбрать для заселения хостел Rachana, расположенный в 500 метрах от Королевского дворца. К услугам гостей ресторан, заказ еды и напитков в номер и бесплатный прокат велосипедов. В номере размещены 6 кроватей в два яруса, плоскоэкранный телевизор, транслирующий кабельные каналы, платяной шкаф, кондиционер. Можно воспользоваться бесплатным wi-fi, запирающимся на ключ шкафчиком и отдельной ванной комнатой с душем, тапочками и туалетными принадлежностями. Ночь при таком способе размещения обойдётся в 300 рублей.
За эту же цену в Сиемреапе – туристической «Мекке» Камбоджи – предложат койко-место в восьмиместном номере гостевого дома Qin Tang. Он расположен в полукилометре от центрального городского рынка и в часе неспешной пешей прогулки от Ангкор-Вата. К услугам проживающих базовые удобства, ресторан, общий внутренний дворик, прокат велосипедов и автомобилей, камера хранения багажа, прачечная и обменный пункт. Персонал этого отеля Камбоджи разговаривает по-английски и на китайском языке.
Если же цель поездки в Камбоджу Сиануквиль отели могут вполне заменить гостевые дома, например, Kim Chantha, который расположен в пяти минутах ходьбы от городского автовокзала. Это будет уже не хостел, а полноценный двухместный номер с вентилятором, за которой попросят 500 рублей за ночь. Строгий стиль оформления, минимализм меблировки, отдельная ванная комната и от 5 до 15 минут до знаменитых белоснежных пляжей. Здесь можно заказать поездки и экскурсии, а также за отдельную плату воспользоваться трансфером в требуемом направлении.
Итоги, выводы и рекомендации
Зимовка в Камбодже
Давайте разберемся, подходит ли Камбоджа, а именно Сиануквиль для длительной зимовки? Мне кажется, что нет. Несмотря на то, что в Сиануквиле комнату без кухни в центре города (до пляжей 3-4 км) можно снять за 150-250 долларов в месяц, а комнату с кухней или даже дом за 300-500 долларов в месяц, жить в Сиануквиле я бы не хотела. Если снимать жилье далеко от моря, то обязательно нужен байк, а ездить на байке по Сиануквилю рискованно, особенно, если вы с детьми. Да и все жилье, которое не возле моря находится в какой-то грязи, вокруг мусорка и не радующие глаз пейзажи. Дороги вечером почти нигде не освещаются. Ходить опасно и ездить опасно.
Крупных магазинов в городе нет, есть несколько магазинов, которые считаются крупными, но они типа Теско Экспресс в Тае.
Везде грязь, мусор, нет чувства комфорта и безопасности. Да и с медициной все не просто.
Цены на продукты в магазинах совсем не низкие. Если вы до сих пор думаете, что в Камбодже все очень дешево, что тут можно жить на 500 долларов в месяц на двоих, то ошибаетесь. Подпишитесь на обновления блога (форма подписки внизу статьи), в следующей статье я расскажу, сколько мы потратили денег в «дешевой» Камбодже (забегая вперед скажу, что потратили мы больше, чем тогда, когда жили в Чианг Мае, при этом старались экономить).
Я вот все думала, что же долгожителей привлекает в Сиануквиле, почему довольно много русскоговорящих живут там долго, рожают и растят детей, строят бизнес, открывают кафе, отели, магазины. А потом поняла почему многие для жизни выбирают Сиануквиль: Камбоджа так похожа на нашу страну! Тут любой вопрос можно решить за деньги, тут процветает взяточничество и коррупция. Поэтому многим «нашим» в Камбодже очень легко вести бизнес.
Камбоджа для отдыха
1. Сием Рип – город, в который обязательно надо съездить, что бы посетить Ангкор Ват. Выделите хотя бы 2-3 дня и съездите/слетайте из Таиланда или Вьетнама в Сием Рип (благо сейчас AirAsia запустила дешевые рейсы в Сием Рип прямо из Бангкока).
2. Пномпень – столица Камбоджи. Город, которому стоит уделить один день, или использовать его для транзита при поездке в Сиануквиль.
3. Сиануквиль – хороший морской курорт с отличными пляжами, вкусной едой, недорогими гестхаусами и отелями. Если вам нужен только пляжный недорогой отдых на теплом море, вкусная еда, дешевый алкоголь, вечерние посиделки в барах или тусовка на диско, то Сиануквиль будет для вас идеальным вариантом!

Если сравнивать отдых в Сиануквиле с отдыхом на островах Таиланда (Самуи, Панган, Ко Тао, Пхукет, Ко Чанг, Ко Куд, Ко Липе), то отдых в Сиануквиле обойдется намного дешевле, чем отдых в Таиланде. Здесь дешевая еда в кафе (ужин на двоих с пивом 6-10 долларов), дешевые фрукты, дешевый алкоголь, дешевое жилье и хорошие пляжи с бесплатными лежаками. Из Сиануквиля можно сплавать на соседние острова, посетить национальный парк и водопад.
Если бы я планировала двухнедельный отпуск в Камбодже, то организовала бы его так:
- Прилет в Сием Рип. 4 ночи в Сием Рипе, осмотр храмов Ангкора
- Переезд в Сиануквиль, 5 ночей в Сиануквиле, пляж Очутел (Серендипити)
- Один из соседних островов, например Ко Ронг – 2 ночи
- Сиануквиль, пляж Отрес – 2 ночи
- Пномпень – 1 ночь
