Colva is a more serene, secluded beach than the busy beaches of North Goa like Baga, Calangute and Candolim. There are swaying coconut and palm trees on the beach and powdery golden sand. It is thus a nice place for people who want calm and peace, and want to stay closer to nature. It is a perfect beach for slightly aged couples, honeymooners, lovers, and families with kids.
However, the area around the Colva Beach Circle just after you cross the small bridge can still be crowded. Just walk a few meters to the South or North – there will be far fewer people. There are parties in Colva, but most of them are private. There is water sport too. There are many foreigners here.

The Beach and Climate
Holidays in Colva can be very memorable once you have made your villa rental. They are close to the serene beach that is lines with coconut and palm trees. It’s a great beach for long walks. The hotels, resorts, guest houses, villas and apartments are close. There are many shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, tattoo parlors, and massage centers. There is water sport too for the more adventurous.
The winter months, between November and February, is the best time to visit Colva. The temperature is usually high in the summer. There is a lot of rain and humidity in the monsoon. Most of the shacks and water sports are closed too.

- A villa for 4 people, 500-700 meters from the sea, but without a pool, will cost just 5,000 a day in September-October. In December, it may cost 8,000 rupees.
- A 2-bedroom luxury apartment with modern luxuries and amenities is available on rent at 18,000-20,000 rupees for the entire week.
